YIMA — A SUSTAINABLE CLOTHING BRAND
Share
At YIMA, our commitment to sustainability and impact is embedded throughout every stage of our production process — from material sourcing to the packaging of our garments. Our approach rests on four pillars.
RESPONSIBLE SOURCING
We carefully select materials from limited, circular sources: returned stock, leftovers, or small quantities from independent suppliers. Many of these pieces would otherwise have been discarded, giving high-quality materials a second life. This approach ensures that our collections remain limited edition: each piece is unique, rare, and precious.
ETHICAL & LOCAL PRODUCTION
Every stage of production—including crafting, artistic direction, and packaging—is realized in collaboration with small haute-couture ateliers and businesses, often led by women or emerging talents. This creates a virtuous circle, supporting local economies, nurturing artisanal expertise, and fostering sustainable practices at every level.
CONSCIOUS & TIMELESS FASHION
We reject fast fashion and overproduction. Our pieces are designed for durability and timeless elegance, reminiscent of garments cherished by previous generations. Each creation is meant to endure beyond fleeting trends, leaving a lasting impression. Unlike industrial vegan leather, often produced through polluting processes, we prioritize recovered leather, which avoids driving overproduction and minimizes environmental impact. In the future, we aim to explore plant-based, vegetable-tanned leathers made from fruits, vegetables, or other natural materials, further strengthening our sustainable approach.
EMPOWERMENT AND INCLUSION
Whether you are in your 20s, like Nollan, or 70s, like Frédérique, featured in our inaugural capsule, you are entitled to freedom, self-expression, and confidence. Our creations are designed to empower and inspire, allowing every wearer to move through the world with elegance and assurance.
